The beauty of the redeveloped shore based services at Half Moon Bay is the centralisation and the overall close proximity of everything relating to the operational side of boat haul outs. It is hard to imagine a better solution than what is on offer here. Everything is reachable by the boat owner or the servicing team in just a few minutes. Whether it be by walking, golf cart, or the boat on the travelift itself - it is all so close.

Covered work sheds available to hire

Offering 24/7 protection from the elements, your service team can now get completely out of the rain and sun. Our covered work bays are transformational and large enough to allow easy drive ins of both of our on site travel lifts. Featuring two roof types these covered sheds are suitable for either launch or keeler (still rigged). The opportunity to drive in, drop, and then work under cover is transformational for large boat servicing and maintenance operations. Dry-stack storage was transformational for leisure boat storage, this will have the equivalent impact for boat servicing - recommended for vessels up to 18 metres.

Lift out capacity has been massively increased

With an onsite 85 tonne travel lift working in harmony with a 35 tonne machine it provides greater versatility and far greater site efficiency at Half Moon Bay.

With synchronised boat movement now possible, as soon as one travel lift is moving and offloading the other lift can be swung into position ready for prepping and loading. This adds up to more boat movements per day, and therefore more satisfied boat owners.

Refueling’s a pleasure now

New Gull above ground tank and bund system has been installed adjacent to the haul out area along with brand new pier based refueling facilities at the marina entrance.

A new refueling dock has been installed at the Marina entrance complete with modern pay at pump GULL facilities. This offers greater pumping capacity for both petrol and diesel.

The marina and the environment

A major benefit that comes from remodelling a marina is starting with a clean slate and putting in all the environmental protections that you need.

For our new hard stand and boatyard areas our environmental systems have been significantly upgraded to a complete managed water entrapment system. This allows for surface water collection, separation, and then off-site treatment of any separated contaminants. Add to this the environmental protections provided by the new fuel facility with a built-in bund system and it makes this an overall investment that will benefit future generations and provide peace-of-mind.

These are both significant in terms of long term containment and environmental risk minimisation.
